Hello teacher! I want to know what english-english dictionary do you suggest? I was looking for Cambridge dictionary but, when I ask for the price it was TOO EXPENSIVE! I don't know if it was because of the store I got in or because that's the real cost of the dictionary. Would you please give me another choice of a good english dictionary? The reason is, that I don't have one, I want to have it and I need it for the departamental on friday.
Thank you.
Patricia

Hi Patricia and all,
To tell you the truth, I have NO idea about dictionary prices and their quality. Merriam-Webster and Longman dictionaries are more than fine. People usually buy just one dictionary in their lives and stick to it for a long time (unless they lose it, but that is a whole different story). It should not be too big or too small or too expensive. Try to find a word that is not that common to check how it is handled or even a very common word such as get or go to see if it has idiomatic expressions and two-word verbs.
I hope you find one that will suit your academic and economic needs.
Good luck, Berta

hello! I bought a Oxford Dictionary yesterday, I think that is good. Thanks teacher to put answers in the blog, so I can know if I did it excelent or not. I hope to get a good grade tomorrow, I had been studying and doing the homework all days and, that helps me tomorrow, although I didn't get a good grade in the past exam.
see you!!

seria mejor que el diccionario que tiene en el blogs fuese igles español, porque yo trate de buscar una palabra que no entendia y tampoco se la otra palabra que me salio como significado.
