I thought the exam was going to be too difficult for most of you and it was completely the opposite. There was little correlation for many of you between this grade and what you got in previous exams. After checking with some colleagues, I decided to have the student with the top answers with the maximum score -25- and from there downwards. The results are in an Excel file in the box on the sidebar.
Should you consider that your grade is not what you expected or the process was unfair, you can take another exam this Wednesday with the students who did not come today. There is a similar 30-question exam but the instructions will require all questions to be answered .
Sorry for the change but things do not always work as one had imagined.
I will be in class this Wednesday. You are NOT required to attend, especially if there are activities planned by the student center. We will start comparison and contrast with the students who are present (pages 116-119 and page 92 from Focus on Reading guide). I will post the answers to these exercises in this blog.
We will have "special" assignments each week when you do not come to class. I will give you instructions here in the blog. You will leave the assignment in my mailbox (casillero departamental ... preguntar secretarias), under my office door (debajo de la puerta de mi oficina) any day of that week or you can email them to me. That will be part of your evaluation (remaining 5% for attendance and classwork).

profe que mas como esta todo? gracias por publicar las notas asi de rapido... una preg, si uno vuelve a presentar el examen, y lastimosamente saca menor nota, que nota quedara en el registro, la del segundo examen o la mejor nota?

Hola Profe, gracias por publicar las notas con tal eficacia. Pero me quedó una duda, ¿estas notas son en base a las 30 preguntas o en base al 25% del valor del examen?
These grades are on the basis of what was right out of 30 questions but depending on the maximun grade which was 26 (this person got 25 points and the rest less according to their correct answers).
If you decide to take the exam tomorrow, I guess there has to be some sort of tradeoff. You will substitute your present grade for the one you get tomorrow, as simple as that (there has to be some risk in the process: no pain, no gain).
As to how fast I published the grades, I had to since we have delayed this 25% of your grade for two weeks already.

Hola prof. Le agradesco publicar los resultados. Estoy satisfecha por mi nota, aunque no le voy a mentir, pero pensé que sacaría un poco mejor. Disculpe si hasta ahora es que estoy viendo los resultados, en toda esta semana no he entrado al blog.
